NEW LOTEK SHOES...

Just had some very cool new kicks in from US label Lotek Shoes...

You might have thought it was only skateboard companies that made the only alternative shoes out there, Lotek bucks the trend and heads a few choice brands started from a BMX riding lifestyle... and because they're made with BMX riding in mind they're built super tough and great for general street use....also we like Lotek for their design approach, the shoes look cool and as good as any from etnies, es or DC..but with their limited production runs you know every Tom, Dick and Harry won't be wearing them...

Lotek Shoes started in 2004 in California by rider Rich Hirsch and they sponsor Edwin DeLaRosa ,Jason Enns, Eddie Cleveland and Chase Dehart..
Edwin is the first rider on the team to receive a pro model... Jason Enns will be the next rider on the team to receive a shoe which will come out next in spring 2006.

NEW SEASON WE CLOTHING DROPS...

Just a quick blog mention to say that we've added a load more of the very fantastic Swedish Super Brand,WE Clothing to the webstore this evening...

Now WE Clothing isn't the cheapest brand out there but the quality is second to none...the whole market at the moment seems to be cheap throwaway garments..wear them a few times, colours fade after a few washes, item shrinks, holes appear, chuck 'em....WE Clothing goes for a different tact...make something that will last you for years, you pay a bit more now but the items fits perfectly, wears well and looks great, plus their branding is subtle and not in your face...anyway thats my sermon over...if you know it, you love it....

Fresh in this week are the cool new Eastpak Laptop Sleeves only available in 17Inch at the moment, 15" following along shortly we beleive...



The cool thing about these Laptop sleeves is not only are they a nice padded, zipped sleeve to protect your computer, they also feature the very cool Eastpak Vs. DFace prints all over so you don't have to put up with the usual, boring black that most manufacturers would pick..nice

“My initial intention to create a metropolitan defence pattern, a camouflage that positively positioned the wearer in the culture heavy landscape. The fabric should function as a protective layer while simultaneously emitting its silent graphic signal and feeding right back into the current social climate.

The artwork originates in the studio as spray paint on canvas, highly stylised typography outlines and rapid expressive marks, basically my trademark graffiti style.

From then it goes digital, theory protocols are put into place, dimensions for the repeat of the fabric and multiple manipulation of the painted images, a lot of adding and taking away until the piece is realised. I knew right away it had to be black on black.

The result is a pure artistic collaboration. Neither side is compromised, for the artist it allows mass transit of my artwork, hundreds of walking canvasses, and for Addict it confirms the ethos of a forward looking brand that continues to innovate through collaboration.”
